Who You Are:  A Flotech’s PLUMBING MECHANIC will typically have their own truck/van based on experience.  Their duties usually include installing new fixtures, unclogging drains, and repairing pipes. They may show up to emergency calls depending on the nature of the call. And can deliver heating and plumbing maintenance services. You should be able to reach our Yonkers, NY office within 30 minutes when on-call.

Job Type: Full-time – 5 day work week (additional on-call rotation)

Pay Range: $30 – $45 hourly (depending on experience and on-job evaluation)

Requirements:

• Ability to speak, read and write English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 Years experience as a junior plumber
• Good customer service skills and friendly personality
• Clean driver’s license

Qualifications/Skills:

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements

Job Description:Flotech’s Apprentice work under the guidance of our more experienced plumbers and assists with the installation and repair of residential and commercial plumbing.

Who You Are: As a plumbing apprentice you’ll be exposed to both general and complex plumbing projects, so you’ll learn a lot on the job. Your desire to grow in the trade is of particular interest to us. You should have close proximity to our office in order to get the truck/van for emergency calls, should we need you.

Job Type: Full time

Pay Range: $15-$20 per hour
